At the Philadelphia Museum of Art, playing and learning go hand-in-hand. Explore a diverse range of engaging programs designed for children and families.

Drop-In Activities

Spark curiosity and imagination with these interactive workshops and guided tours. All drop-in activities are free after museum admission. Ages 18 and under are always free.

Please note: There will be no Art Kids programs for the month of June. See below for what’s coming in July!

1-Day Workshops

Museum teachers guide children through fun and informative experiences in the galleries, followed by hands-on projects in the Education Classrooms. No experience is required and all materials are supplied.

Art Kids Summer Workshops are organized as 1-Day classes and are designed for specific age groups: 5-6, 7-8, or 9-10. Class size is limited.

Things to Know:

  • Pre-registration is required.
  • All children must be toilet trained.
  • Fees are nonrefundable unless the museum cancels the class.
  • Tuition assistance may be available upon request.
