At the Philadelphia Museum of Art, playing and learning go hand-in-hand. Explore a diverse range of engaging programs designed for children and families. Ages 18 and under are always free.

Drop-In Activities

Registered Classes

​​​Museum teachers guide children through fun and informative experiences in the galleries, followed by hands-on projects in the Education Classrooms. Classes are designed for specific age groups, noted below.

No prior experience is required, and all materials are provided. Please note that this is a drop-off program with limited capacity. Classes are organized and sold as a semester-long program.

Registration for the Art Kids Class: Fall 2026 is now open!

Fall classes meet weekly from October 3 - December 12, 2026.
Please note, there will be no classes on November 21 and November 28.

There are two class times to choose from:

  1. Morning: Saturdays, 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  2. Afternoon: Saturdays, 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Things to Know:

  • Pre-registration is required.
  • All children must be toilet trained.
  • Program costs are $270 (Members $230). Fees are nonrefundable unless the museum cancels the class.
  • Tuition assistance may be available upon request.
