Stem Dish with design of Rabbits

Artist/maker unknown

This dish is decorated with the autumnal motifs. Rabbits amid bush clover (hagi) adorn the bowl's interior. Elsewhere are Japanese plume grass or pampas grass (susuki), and chrysanthemums (kiku). A small bat, symbol of good luck, flies on the outer surface of the bowl.
