"Kashiwado" Chair
Image 1 of 21 / 2
This chair is built of blocks of Japanese cedar. They are geometrically arranged to form a U-shaped profile, with their wood grains producing abstract patterns. It is the stout, compact shape of this chair that inspires its name—Kashiwado, who was a famous sumo wrestler of the period.
