How can we build more inclusive pathways into curatorial work? Join a conversation between distinguished mentors, educators and art historians about the joys and challenges of cultivating diverse talent within the curatorial field. Dr. Steven Nelson, Dr. Leslie King-Hammond and Dr. Darryl Ford will be moderated by Imani Roach, Director of the Brind Center from African and African Diasporic Art, in this discussion inspired by Noah Davis's commitment to accessibility in the visual arts.
This program and the reception that follows also celebrate the legacy and future of the Constance E. Clayton Fellowship, the PMA's first paid graduate fellowship program designed to support emerging curators from underrepresented backgrounds. Named for pioneering civic leader and co-founder of the museum's African American Collections Committee, the Clayton fellowship is now entering its 10th year.
