Guest curator Paul Farber explores the creation, context, and communities that orbit Philadelphia’s iconic Rocky statue. He expounds on the stories behind the landmark Rising Up exhibition and the lives and afterlives of monuments. Farber will be in conversation with Salamishah Tillet, a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer who contributed to the exhibition publication.

The talk will be followed by a book launch and author signing of the exhibition’s accompanying publication, Rising Up: Rocky and the Making of Monuments. Copies will be available for purchase.
