This first exhibition of contemporary art ever mounted in the Rodin Museum presents some 20 photographs by Ernestine Ruben (born 1931). Ruben's unusual, almost three-dimensional photographs of Rodin sculptures are printed onto thick handmade paper, on top of which the artist applies further paper fibers and metallic pigments. The result is a luminous impression of Rodin's work rather than a strict recording, and the installation of the photographs with sculptures on which they are based will animate the museum's collection in a new way.
