Recent Acquisitions

Displayed through December in the Special Exhibition Galleries were a group of major recent acquisitions in twentieth century art. Philip Pearlstein's Two Female Models with Drawing Table, acquired by the Museum through a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts for the purchase of work by a living American artist, shared the spotlight with impressive works by Italo Scanga, Roy Lichtenstein, Sidney Goodman, Rafael Ferrer, and Walter Darby Bannard.
