Wedding Dress

The streamlined styles of American designer Vera Wang revolutionized ideas about bridal wear. Frustrated by the fussy styles on the market, she designed her own wedding dress and soon opened a salon catering to other modern brides. Although this made-to-order gown features exquisite traditional detailing, including an embroidered and beaded bodice and a line of small satin buttons running down the back, the emphasis is on silhouette and sophisticated simplicity.
