Design for a Camel Cart

Artist/maker unknown

Each component is carefully delineated in this design for a camel cart, complete with camel and attendant. The cart is depicted from the side, together with structural details drawn separately at the corners of the page. Additionally, the artist numbered many parts of the cart. On the back of the page, the artist illustrated the cart as it would be seen from above, making this a fully functional "blueprint" for construction. The artist also carefully outlined the camel, changing the position of the hind legs several times, and used white paint to correct the camel's muzzle and ear ornament.
