Woman's Evening Ensemble: Jacket and Trousers

The ready-to-wear garments James Galanos created for his Los Angeles fashion house rival haute couture in quality and attention to detail. He had been in the business for more than forty years when he presented this dress in a collection showcasing sexy and luxurious evening ensembles that played with sheerness and textures. In this example, a heavily beaded and sequined jacket contrasts with diaphanous wide-legged tulle pants floating over slim legs of sheer metallic lace.
