Woman's Evening Dress
In this evening gown Galanos pays homage to his Greek heritage and to the iconic designs of Paris couturière Madame Grès, whose specialty was draped silk jersey dresses. For this updated version of Grès's classically inspired gowns, Galanos created a seductive evening dress that incorporates some of the effects for which Grès was best known, such as a bared shoulder and sliver of visible skin.
