Tuileries Palace
Edouard-Denis BaldusFrench (born Germany), 1813 - 1889
This image shows some of the changes made to Paris during Baron Haussmann's project to redesign the city. It records the additions made to the Tuileries Palace (center) as well as a new park in the center of the Louvre courtyard. The Tuileries Palace was destroyed in 1871, and the park is now the site of I. M. Pei's glass pyramid.
