Woman's Cocktail Dress

Feathers bring texture, movement, and fantasy to fashion. While they require artful manipulation, these complex natural structures offer unique design possibilities. Peter Som’s invitingly soft dress uses curly purple ostrich feathers interspersed with straight black feathers and tiny strips of black georgette, all hand-stitched to silk organza. In contrast, black velvet ribbons define the waist and create a sensuous bodice back, making a youthful yet cosmopolitan statement.
