Here, Jo-Ellen Trilling juxtaposes words and drawings to engage the viewer in a kind of visual wordplay. The images on this jacket were inspired by a conversation the artist had with her future husband about learning prepositions as a child by singing them. This led her to freely associate other images, including an archaeological excavation revealing long-buried skeletons and objects associated with ancient history and myths.
