Amitayus, Bodhisattva of Limitless Life
Artist/maker unknownImage 1 of 31 / 3
This Amitayus is remarkably complete, missing only the ashoka tree that once protruded from his vase of immortality. The use of colored paint and inset stones, as well as the distinctive anatomy and jewelry, are typical of works produced in Dolon-nor during the nineteenth century.
