A successful entrepreneur who parlayed a brick factory into one of the biggest construction firms in Latin America by the time she was in her mid-thirties, Dolores Olmedo (1908-2002) later amassed the largest private collection of works by Diego Rivera, which is housed today in the museum in Mexico City that bears her name.
