Spring/Summer 1984
Man's Suit: Jacket, Pants and Waistcoat
Kenzo, the first Japanese designer to become prominent in Western fashion, opened his Paris boutique in 1970 and quickly became known for his uninhibited use of pattern and prints along with eclectic multiethnic references. In 1983, he brought his refreshing and energetic approach to menswear. The mid-1980's preferences for bold patterns and broad-shouldered silhouettes are evident in this hot-hued plaid suit.
