Dish with Flaring Rim from a Miniature Tea Service

This dish, part of a tea service, was imported from China by Richard Randolph (1791-1863) of Philadelphia as a gift for his nieces Annie Hull and Lizzie Nichols. It is decorated with a grapevine border (common in western ceramics) and gilded rim.
